Kitchener Rangers News Release
The National Hockey League's Central Scouting Services (CSS) released its midterm rankings for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft on Monday, and five Kitchener Rangers are included on that list.
The top ranked Rangers player is centre Ryan MacInnis, listed at #33 amongst North American skaters. The first-year forward from St. Louis, MO sits sixth in OHL rookie scoring with 26 points in 42 games played, and will appear this week at the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. Selected as one of the 40 top prospects in the CHL, MacInnis will compete with Team Cherry in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, January 15.
Forward Nick Magyar is ranked at #52, and leads all Rangers with 12 goals and 21 assists this season. The Mentor, OH native is also the third-best rookie scorer in the Ontario Hockey League.
Darby Llewellyn leads the Rangers with 20 goals in 2013-14, his second season with the club. The winger from Ann Arbor, MI has more than doubled his rookie point total with 28 this season and is ranked by CSS at #113.
Two Rangers blueliners also made the list; American-born defenceman Frank Hora joined the club for the 2013-14 season and is ranked at #165, while former Kingston Frontenacs rearguard Dylan Di Perna is listed at #181.
