Seventh Annual Girl Scout Sun Fest To Be Held Sunday

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (June 18, 2009) - The Seventh Annual Connecticut Sun Girl Scouts Sun Fest will be held on Sunday, June 21st prior to the Sun taking on the San Antonio Silver Stars in Mohegan Sun Arena.

Sun Fest will begin at 11 a.m. and run until 1:30 p.m., with the game starting at 3 p.m. The cost of the event is $11, and includes a ticket to the game, entrance to Sun Fest and a Girl Scouts Sun Fest patch. Events during Sun Fest include a magician, a dance clinic given by the Solar Power Dance Team, Radio Disney and a variety of other activities both in the arena and on the concourse.

In addition to all Sun Fest activities, all troops in attendance have the opportunity to participate in the Banner Making Contest. Those troops that make a banner will join the Girl Scouts banner parade on court at halftime of the game. All banners must be 3x5 feet, contain the troop number and cheer on the Sun.
