Jupiter, FL - The Marauders (35-23, 67-61) were blanked 5-0 by the South Division leading Cardinals (38-19, 70-57) at Roger Dean Stadium on Tuesday night. Corey Littrell (W, 9-8) recorded his third scoreless start against Bradenton this season as the Cardinals seized a four game lead in the South Division with 10 games remaining.
Littrell fired eight scoreless innings and struck out five with just four hits and one walk allowed. Josh Lucas finished the game with a perfect ninth for the Cardinals. Palm Beach scored a single run in five separate innings.
NOTES: The game began at 6:36 p.m. under cloudy skies, 84 degrees, and wind blowing 6 mph in from right field ... Austin Meadows extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a sixth inning single ... Bradenton was shutout for the seventh time this year and for the third time by Palm Beach ...
