Carolina Mudcats News Release
FREDERICK, MD - Tonight's series opening game between the Carolina Mudcats and Frederick Keys at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, MD has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, with two seven-inning games beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Frederick.
The postponement comes at the beginning of a brief three game road trip through Frederick for the Mudcats. The series finale is still scheduled for Wednesday night with the first pitch at 7:00 p.m. at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium.
Following the three game road series in Frederick, the Mudcats will soon return home to Five County Stadium on Thursday night for game one of a four game home stand versus the Winston-Salem Dash.
The new, and final first half, home stand will feature fun promotions including Thirsty Thursday with a newly added Micro Brews Night theme on Thursday, June 13 (7:00 p.m.). First Responders Night and House Autry Friday Night Fireworks on Friday, June 14 (7:00 p.m.). Brewers Appreciation Night with an appearance by Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers and a souvenir Jesus Aguilar bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,200 fans on Saturday, June 15 (5:00 p.m.). The final home stand of the first half schedule will then conclude with Wake Med $5 Five County Family Sunday on Sunday, June 16 (2:00 p.m.). The Mudcats will once again play in their Brewers Appreciation jerseys during Sunday's game. Sunday's game will additionally be preceded by a pre-game catch on the field for Father's Day.
Brewers Appreciation Night is presented by Walmart and will feature the Mudcats playing in Brewers themed jerseys. Those game worn and autographed jerseys will be auctioned off online at auctions.carolinamudcats.com with the proceeds benefiting the Children's Miracle Network.
