Series Finale vs. Express Sunday as Mallards Go for Sweep
July 24, 2011 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Madison Mallards News Release
The Madison Mallards will face the Eau Claire Express Sunday at 5:05 p.m. looking to sweep the Express in the finale of a three-game series at the "Duck Pond." The game will also be the final time that Eau Claire will play in Madison this season. The Mallards are 4-0 at home against Eau Claire, and 5-2 altogether.
Sunday is also a special day at the "Duck Pond," as the Mallards and Marshfield Clinic present Susan G. Komen For the Cure Day. The Mallards will wear pink uniforms, use pink bats, and run around pink bases to raise awareness for breast cancer. The first 1,000 fans through the gate will also receive "Millie in Pink" bobbleheads. All jerseys, bats, and bases will be auctioned off following the game to benefit Madison's Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliate.
