Jackson, MSâ In a 6-1 Jackson win, it was pitching that trumped the Pelican bats. Jackson's Rusty Camp was stifling for 8 innings, giving up 6 hits, 4 runs, and 6 strikeouts. The Senators jumped out early on a 3 run opposite field homerun by Gerard McCall, which was his 3rd homer of the year. Jackson added a run in the 2nd, and two more in the 8th. Pelican starter Marcos Castillo didn't even make it to the 3rd inning, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits in just 2 innings.
This was the third straight game where Jackson collected at least 10, and with the win, the Sens have taken 2 out of the first 3 games of this 4 game series. Tomorrow is the final home game in the first half of the season for Jackson. The Senators and Pelicans will play game four of the series tomorrow at 10:35 am. Pensacola will have Trey Stephens going against Jackson's Kevin Kuklis.
