June 20, 2004 - Central Baseball League (Central League)
Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release

Fort Worth's pitching dominated Shreveport's bats all game. Well, up until Brandon Wood left the game. Wood pitched 7 sharp innings, allowing only one run on 5 hits and two walks. From there it went south, with Shreveport jumping on the Fort Worth relievers, scoring 5 runs in the eighth, and adding the tying run in the top of the ninth.

Fort Worth would get two men on base in the bottom of the ninth, but failed to drive either in. In the extra frames Shreveport's Carl Makowsky completely killed any hope Fort Worth had, pitching a perfect tenth and eleventh to record his third win of the season. Joe Dusan drove in the go-ahead run in the eleventh with a sacrifice fly, his second RBI of the game. Michael Hicks would then add 2 insurance runs with a double down the line to seal the game.
