
Sens Pound Out 10-3 Win Over the R-Phils

On Sunday afternoon in front of 3,684 fans at Metro Bank Park the Sens pounded out 10 runs to defeat the R-Phils 10-3. The Sens have taken two of the first three games of the series and go for the win in the series Monday afternoon. The Sens improve to 38-50 with the win and the R-Phils dropped to 50-38 with the loss.
Matt Chico picked up his first win for the Sens going the first five innings and allowing just three hits and one unearned run. Adrian Alaniz, Clint Everts and Justin Jones finished up for the Sens.
The Sens pounded out 17 hits and had two big innings, a five run second and a four run sixth. Michael Daniel had a three-run double to break a 1-1 tie in the second. Javi Herrera had a two run double in the sixth inning to provide insurance.
Daniel had four RBIs and was one of five Sens with two hits. Ian Desmond and Edgardo Baez both had three hits to lead the way for the Sens.
Marvin Lowrance, Joel Guzman, Ofilio Castro and Herrera all had two hits for the Sens.
The final game of the series is Monday afternoon at 12:00pm at Metro Bank Park with RH Erik Arnesen taking the mound for the Sens against RH Mike Stutes for Reading.
