Senators Open Double Dip with 4-2 Win

Harrisburg Senators News Release


The Senators began their six-game road trip with a 4-2 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in game one of a twin bill Wednesday night in Binghamton. The Senators opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the fourth inning and later added single runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Binghamton scored it's runs in the bottom of the fifth and added another run in the sixth inning. Jackson Tetreault earned the win for the Sens and Aaron Barrett picked up his 25th save.

On Capitol Hill

Jackson Tetreault earned the win tossing five innings and allowing a run on five hits. He struck out three and walked three.

Austen Williams earned his first hold while with the Senators, going one inning, giving up a run on three hits and struck out one.

Aaron Barrett notched his 25th save, pitching a perfect seventh inning with a strikeout..

With the Gavel

Rhett Wiseman had one hit and plated a pair of runs.

Nick Banks finished 1-for-3 with an RBI.

TJ Rivera had a hit and drove in his first run as a Senator with a double in the fifth inning.

Filibusters

- The Senators are now 8-3 in doubleheaders this season.

- Harrisburg is now 36-15 when they score first.

- With the win, the Sens have won the first game of each of the last five series played.
