Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Harrisburg Senators announce that tomorrow, Sunday, August 16 is guaranteed win day! After starting the season 2-16 and continuing to fall to 13-34 after losing on June 1st to New Hampshire, the Senators have turned things around on the field significantly going 42-28 since June 2nd.

What was once an impossible dream of a thought, the Senators can still finish .500 for the 2009 season by going 16-9 the rest of the way. The Senators are currently 8-5 in the month of August.

Making the promise on behalf of the Senators is Drew Praster, ticket sales account executive. Drew has been with the front office for nearly two years on a full-time basis, and hopes to continue working in the front office after tomorrow.

"The Senators are hot right now and I think they have a great shot at getting our record to .500," according to Praster. "I am so confident in the Senators winning games right now that I am going to guarantee the Senators win on Sunday."

If Drew is wrong, everyone in attendance on Sunday will receive a ticket voucher good for any remaining game this homestand, Tuesday through Thursday, August 16-18 against Altoona. Senators President Kevin Kulp has not been made aware of the guarantee meaning Drew's job could be on the line if the Senators don't win Sunday.

"Kevin is a great guy and feels the same way I do about the team right now," said Praster, "so I'm not too worried but I am hoping to still have my job on Monday if we lose!"

When made aware of the guarantee for Sunday's game, Senators manager John Stearns said that he hoped his team could come through for Drew, the front office and the fans. "The fans here in Harrisburg deserve a win," said Stearns. "So on Sunday, we'll see if we can't deliver a winning game. And we'd like to see Drew keep his job."

Game time on Sunday is at 2:00pm. The first 1,000 kids will receive a free Senators Mini-Football courtesy of CBS21, WTPA 93.5, ESPN 1400, & Ciocca Honda. Sunday is also Family Day presented by Rite Aid & WHP 580. Family Day coupons are available at participating Rite Aid locations redeemable at Metro Bank Park for 4 tickets, 2 hot dogs and 2 soft drinks for $20. There is a pre-game catch on the field so be sure to bring your glove and come out early. Finally, Sunday is the annual visit of the Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest in the main parking lot beginning at 11am

Tickets for Sunday's game, or any remaining game this season, are available online 24 hours a day at www.senatorsbaseball.com.
