BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators were unable to capitalize on six power-play opportunities, while five different Phantoms scored goals to lead Philadelphia past Binghamton by a 5-1 final on Saturday night at the Arena.

Philly opened the scoring midway through the first period. Frederick Cabana stole the puck away from the Binghamton defense at center ice and advanced on a solo rush. Cabana snapped a wrist shot past netminder Kelly Guard.

Binghamton responded with Charlie Cook netting his ninth goal of the year. Cook took a centering feed from Andrew Ebbett and one-timed it past Martin Houle to even the game at 1 apiece.

The Phantoms second goal came off a deflection in front of the crease. Matt Ellison re-directed a Don Morrison shot past Guard.

Darroll Powe added to the Philly lead, taking a Denis Tolpeko pass and one-timing it over the glove hand of Guard. Eric Meloche and Pete Zingoni added late markers for the Phantoms, who snapped a four-game skid with tonight's decisive win.
