Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators snapped their four-game losing streak with a 5-1 win over the Reading Fightin Phils Tuesday night at FNB Field. The Senators scored single runs in the first two innings, then tacked on two more in the third. Reading broke up the Senators shutout bid with a run in the ninth inning. DJ Herz started and tossed four hitless innings before turning the game over to the Senators bullpen.
The Big Play
Israel Pineda doubled in two runs with the bases loaded and one out in the third inning to give the Senators a 4-0 lead. It was their second hit of the game with runners in scoring position.
On Capitol Hill
DJ Herz started and went the first four innings without allowing a hit. He struck out six and walked two. Over his past ten innings he's allowed just one hit... Patrick Ruotolo followed and went two scoreless innings allowing just one hit... Tanner Rainey faced three batters, striking out two, in his first MLB rehab appearance with the Senators... Tyler Schoff tossed 1.1 scoreless innings... Nash Walters finished going the ninth inning and allowing a run on a hit.
