Harrisburg Senators News Release

Andrew LeFave drove in a pair of runs, including the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th, to propel the Senators to a 4-3 win Monday over the Erie SeaWolves. Harrisburg has now won four straight games, all at Commerce Bank Park, and six of their last seven.

The Senators fell behind, 2-0, in the top of the second after Max Leon singled home a run for Erie and Kody Kirkland plated another on a sacrifice fly.

Harrisburg chipped away with a run in the bottom of the second. Ofilio Castro bounced into a run-scoring fielder's choice to cut the deficit to 2-1.

LeFave came up with his first hit, a two-out RBI single to left field to tie the game at 2-2 in the fourth inning. The Senators took their first lead in the fifth, when Mike Daniel bounced a base hit up the middle to score Castro and make it 4-3.

The SeaWolves tallied the tying run in the seventh on Kirkland's two-out RBI single to left-center. But Harrisburg struck in the eighth when LeFave looped a single to left, scoring Justin Maxwell as the go-ahead run.

Shairon Martis started the game and went six strong innings in a no-decision, allowing two runs (one earned). The right-hander retired the last 14 batters he faced. Josh Perrault (2-0) picked up the win and Jim Ed Warden notched his second save of the year. The Senators are now 12-5 on the season and host the SeaWolves again Tuesday at 6:05 PM. RHP Josh Hall draws the start for Harrisburg against Erie RHP Ben Fritz.
