Senators activate Spearman and DL Bynum

The Harrisburg Senators have announced that INF Jemel Spearman has been activated from the disabled list and INF Freddie Bynum has been placed on the disabled list with a sore right shoulder. In addition, Nationals OF Elijah Dukes has joined the Senators on an MLB rehab assignment.

Spearman joined the Senators on 4/15 with Seth Bynum was promoted to AAA Syracuse. Spearman then went on the disabled list on 5/3 with a sore calf.

Bynum joined the Senators from AAA Syracuse on 5/1 and has not started a game at a defensive position since 5/18 at Erie.

Dukes is the second MLB rehab assigned to the Sens this season. He has been on the disabled list since 5/20 with a left hamstring injury. He was batting .277 with 4 home runs and 24 RBIs before going on the disabled list.

With these moves, the Senators roster is at 24 active players plus four players on the disabled list and one MLB rehab.
