NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, have announced that forward Mike Seidel will be joining the team for the 2016-17 season, per Head Coach Rod Aldoff.

Seidel's rights were traded to the organization in June as a completion of the trade that sent Corey Fienhage to the Atlanta Gladiators. The 5'10" - 174 lbs. winger turned pro at the start of the 2013-14 season, after being a star at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

"Mike is the type of player we want in our locker room and on the ice," Coach Aldoff began with. "Not only is he a class act but he's a great teammate as well, someone who I'm sure guys will want to play with."

The Chicago native produced 30 points last season in 54 games with the Elmira Jackals. On top of his tenure in New York, the 28-year-old also dressed in two games for the Indy Fuel.

"We're getting a really great hockey player in Mike and we know we're going to be able to rely on him to contribute offensively. He's a player who you can't help but be excited to coach," Aldoff remarked.

The Admirals begin the 2016-17 season on Friday, October 14th against the Kalamazoo Wings at the Norfolk Scope. Season tickets and ten packs are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 757-640-1212.
