Toledo, OH - Forward Erik Bradford has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2016-17 season. Bradford had a successful first professional season with 32 points (10G, 22A) with 28 penalty minutes over 65 games in the ECHL for the Orlando Solar Bears. He finished the season strong with a three game point streak with two goals and two assists. The native of Orangeville, Ontario also had a 10 game point streak from March 5 through March 26 (10 points). "Erik fits what we are striving to do here," Head Coach Dan Watson said. "He is a skilled forward with grit. I anticipate him developing further in his second professional season." The 21-year-old forward also had a stint in the AHL at the conclusion of the 2014-15 appearing in three contests for the Toronto Marlies, scoring one goal. Prior to turning professional, Bradford spent four full seasons in the OHL posting 186 points (76G, 110A) with 166 penalty minutes over 264 contests. Bradford picked up career highs in goals (28), assists (45) and points (73) in his final OHL season (2014-15) while playing Ottawa and Owen Sound. The Toledo Walleye return to the Huntington Center for their home opener on Saturday, October 22, when they face the Brampton Beasts.
