Tri-City Storm News Release
Kearney, Neb. - After scoring the first goal, the Tri-City Storm allowed three in the second period and suffered a 5-1 loss to the Des Moines Buccaneers Friday at the Viaero Center. Buccaneers forward Isaac Johnson recorded his first hat trick.
Jace Foskey scored the Storm's goal, assisted by Logan Drevitch, five minutes into the first. The 16-year-old Foskey has two goals and six points this season. Drevitch has six points with Tri-City this season.
Des Moines scored three times in the final 6:03 of the second. Johnson scored two goals in the third to complete the hat trick.
Eric Dop competed through the tough second frame and finished with 24 saves. Nick MacNab made 19 straight saves to end the game and netted his ninth win of the campaign.
Tri-City looks to rebound against Omaha Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Storm starts a four-game home stand next Friday, February 24 at 7:05 p.m. against Sioux Falls.
