GAME NOTES

Lincoln Stars (23-14-5) | Tied-4th - Western Conference

The Stars are tied for fourth in the Western Conference, holding the tiebreaker against the Fargo Force. Lincoln has won three of its last four games and has points in four of its last five. The Stars are in a stretch of four games in six days and in the midst of a six-game road swing with matchups against playoff contenders including the Dubuque Fighting Saints, Waterloo Black Hawks and Sioux City Musketeers.

Dubuque Fighting Saints (26-10-6) | 2nd - Eastern Conference

The Fighting Saints are in a fight for the Anderson Cup, awarded to the team with the most points at the conclusion of the regular season. The Fighting Saints have lost three consecutive games in overtime, but have not lost in regulation since Jan. 7. Dubuque has been led by a deep offense with the USHL's leading scorer Zach Solow (49 points) and the third-highest scorer Colin Theisen (42 points).

Players to Watch

DUB: Zach Solow - The Northeastern University commit is on a five-game point streak with three goals and six assists. He leads the league with 49 points.

LIN: Henry Bowlby - The Harvard University commit returned to the lineup on Feb. 14 after missing six games with an injury. He is on a seven-game point streak with three goals and four assists.

Roster Report - Carter Long was listed as ill on Feb. 14.

Series History - The Stars lead the two-game season series after winning, 5-1, in the Ice Box on Dec. 9. Dominick Mersch scored twice against the Fighting Saints.

Mersch at 100 - Dominick Mersch is set to play his 100th USHL game on Friday, Feb. 17. The Wisconsin commit has 14 goals, 11 assists and 152 penalty minutes in his second full USHL season.

NHL CSS - NHL Central Scouting released its Mid-Term Rankings in January. Cayden Primeau was ranked 4th among North American goalies and Josef Korenar was ranked 15th among North American goalies. Former Star Ryan Poehling was ranked 14th among North American skaters.

Five Nations Tournament - Christian Krygier (United States) and Eero Terî=A4vî=A4inen (Finland) recently represented their respective countries at the 2017 Five Nations Tournament. Krygier played in the U17 tournament from Feb. 8-12 in Brno, Czech Republic. Terî=A4vî=A4inen played in the U18 tournament at the same time in Sundsvall, Sweden.
