Today, the SeaWolves look to end a nine-game losing streak as they take the field in the final game of a three-game set against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) at Prince George's Stadium. The ‘Wolves, in addition to dropping nine straight, have lost 13 of their last 14 games and are just 1-10 in the month of May. The losing streak has plummeted the ‘Wolves into a tie for fifth place in the Southern Division with Altoona at nine games behind first place Harrisburg. The Baysox, with a 2-1 win over Erie on Wednesday, remained 2.5 games behind Harrisburg in sole possession of second place...Leftie Luke French was the last SeaWolves starting pitcher to pick up a victory and he heads to the mound today. French tossed eight innings in his last outing against Harrisburg on May 9. In the game he allowed just one run on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. French left the game with a 3-1 win and the bullpen could not hold the lead with two outs in the top of the ninth as the ‘Wolves fell 4-3. French, since losing two straight games, has gone 2-0 with a pair of no decisions in his last four outings...Rightie Chris Tillman takes the mound for the Baysox. Tillman picked up a win in his last outing. He tossed six shutout innings, allowing just one hit with three walks and six strikeouts. Today is Tillman's first start against the SeaWolves. TODAY'S NOTABLES - - The SeaWolves are 10-11 on the road. - Erie is 8-17 in night games. - The ‘Wolves are 14-17 against the Southern Division. - Erie leads the season series over Bowie 5-4. The SeaWolves and Baysox meet 21 times in 2008. - The ‘Wolves are tied for third in the league in batting with a .267 team average.
