Largest Crowd Of Season Watches Thursday Curve Doubleheader

The Altoona Curve welcomed their largest crowd of the 2008 season to Blair County Ballpark Thursday morning and afternoon, as 7,866 fans watched the Curve and Akron Aeros (AA/Cleveland Indians) split a doubleheader. Many of the fans in attendance were school children from throughout Central and Western Pennsylvania and Western Maryland.

The announced crowd of 7,866 for the 10:35 a.m. doubleheader is the largest School Kids Day attendance in Curve history.

Altoona will be on the road for the next seven days, visiting Harrisburg and Akron. The club will return to Blair County Ballpark for Memorial Day Weekend from May 23-26 against the Trenton Thunder (AA/New York Yankees).
