October Yet?: The Tulsa Oilers have concluded the 2008-09 Central Hockey League season, finishing with a record of 18-38-8 for 44 points and fourth place in the Northeast Division.

Wrap-up: The Oilers dropped three games last week, losing to Mississippi 6-4 in the season finale at the Bok Center, then dropping a 6-2 decision at Wichita and 5-1 game at Mississippi to end the season.

Team Awards: Prior to Wednesday's game, the Oilers presented the following team awards: Vic Poole Never give up award-Bobby Reed; Fan Favorite-Chris Kovalcik; Community Service-Kevin St. Pierre; Rookie of the Year-Mike Mullen; Most Improved Player-Lucas LaBelle; Offensive Player of the Year-Jeff Christian; Defensive Player of the Year-Kevin Hansen; Most Valuable Player-Brendon Hodge.

CHL Award: Also prior to Wednesday's game, CHL commissioner Emeritus Tom Berry presented Oilers owner and team president Jeff Lund with the CHL's Rick Kozuback Award, for dedication and perseverance to the game, sport and business of hockey.

Top Gun: In spite of missing eight games, Jeff Christian led the Oilers in scoring for the second consecutive season. His 27 goals and 49 assists gave him 76 points and tied him for seventh in the CHL scoring race.

BOK Bonanza: Moving into their new home this season, the Oilers made a big splash in the CHL attendance race. The Oilers drew the second largest crowd in CHL history (16,982) for their home opener on October 25^th . On two other occasions, the Oilers drew crowds in excess of the capacity of their former home at the Tulsa Convention Center. The Oilers drew a total of 173,689, for an average attendance of 5,427, third highest in the CHL. That is Tulsa's highest average attendance since the 1995-96 season and first time since the 2000-01 season the Oilers have finished as high as third in league attendance.
