Sea Wolves Tie Series with 3-0 Shutout

Mississippi netminder Greg Gardner blanked the Gladiators 3-0 making 43 saves to push the Central Division Semi-Final to a fifth and deciding Game #5 on Wednesday night at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum at 8:05 p.m.

Mississippi jumped out to a 1-0 lead, as Dwayne Blais was able to bounce a puck past Gladiators netminder Michael Garnett. Travis Lisabeth and Steve O'Rourke added the assists on the goal 42 seconds into the opening period.

Louis Dumont extended the Sea Wolves lead to two goals at the 4:02 mark of the opening period. Dumont ripped a slap shot past Garnett in the high slot off a feed from Brent Gauvreau for the first period tally.

Lisabeth pushed the Mississippi lead to three goals as the ripped a slap shot past Garnett at 6:26 of the second period. Anthony Battaglia added an assist on the goal to give the Sea Wolves a 3-0 lead to round out the scoring.

Despite out shooting the Sea Wolves in the final period 15-5 and overall 43-21, the Gladiators could not solve Mississippi netminder Greg Gardner who picked up the shutout to push the series to Game #5.
