SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Head Coach/General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that free agent forward Kyle Paige has been signed to the team's active roster effective immediately.

"We're very excited that Kyle will be joining our organization," said Beaulieu. "He's a versatile player with great hockey sense and he makes an excellent addition to the Sea Dogs."

Paige, 20, played for four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League between 2004 and 2008, compiling 22G-33A-55P in 202 career games played with Guelph, Oshawa, and Kingston. Originally selected by the Storm in the eighth round (158th overall) of the 2004 OHL Priority Selection Draft, Paige's most productive season came in 2007-2008 when he scored 15 goals and dished out 19 assists for 34 points in 68 games for the Frontenacs.

A native of Richmond Hill, ON, Paige skated in five professional games last season as a member of the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies, scoring one goal for the New York Islanders' affiliated minor league club. This past summer, Paige earned an invitation to the Edmonton Oilers' Rookie Camp. The 6'1", 191 lb. left winger scored the game-winning goal for the Oilers Prospects in an exhibition match versus the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference All-Stars on September 18.

The Sea Dogs will be looking to extend their current winning streak to three games on Wednesday night when the P.E.I. Rocket pay a visit to Harbour Station for a 7:00pm contest. Tickets to this Atlantic Division showdown are available by calling the Harbour Station Box Office at (506) 657-1234.
