HE MAKES NUMBER FOUR : Left-hander Franklin Morales will make a Major League Rehab Assignment for the Sea Dogs in the homestand finale on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field...Morales is currently on Boston's 15-day DL due to lower back strain, and his making his second rehab start, but his first since April 17th with Greenville (3 IP, H, 0 R, BB, 2 SO)...Lefty Drake Britton is scheduled to follow Morales, and will make his 4th career relief out, all following rehab starts (2 with Rich Hill, MLB, 1 with Matt Goodson - AA rehab)

BATS SHUTDOWN : Reading right-hander Hector Neris (3-1) fired six innings on four hits and one run, leading the Fightin Phils to a 5-1 win over the Sea Dogs on Tuesday night...Portland's lone run came on a two-out, solo-homer by Travis Shaw in the fourth inning...Anthony Ranaudo (4-1) took his first loss of the year, allowing five hits, four runs (three earned) over 6 IP...Ranaudo surrendered two homers for the first time this season, yielding solo-shots to Derrick Mitchell and Jim Murphy...CF Shannon Wilkerson picked up two of Portland's seven hits.
