TWO GAMES, ONCE AGAIN : One night after two games at Hadlock Field, the Sea Dogs and Altoona Curve (Pirates affiliate) play a doubleheader on Saturday night at Hadlock Field...Portland needs one win tonight to clinch the season series from the Curve...With last night's win in the suspended game, the 'Dogs finished their last roadtrip at 5-3, an earned a two-game sweep of the Curve in Altoona, Pa...Portland is playing their sixth doubleheader of the season, they are 3-0-2.
THAT'S A SWEEP...KIND OF : Portland won a suspended game 4-2 on Friday night from the Curve...The game was resumed in the third inning with Altoona the home team...The 'Dogs received two-run homers from Sean Coyle and Stefan Welch in the victory...Coyle's homer went through the hole of the Sullivan Tire sign about the Maine Monster...In game two, LHP Henry Owens tossed his third complete game and second shutout of the season...Owens yielded just five hits in Portland's 3-0 win...David Chester knocked in two runs with a first-inning single and LF Keury De La Cruz added a run-scoring single in the third.
