Harrisburg Senators News Release

Wilson Ramos launched a three-run home run in a rehab appearance on his way back to the Major Leagues to lead the Harrisburg Senators to a 5-2 victory over the Akron RubberDucks on Saturday night before 4,766 fans at Metro Bank Park.

Kevin Keyes lined a solo home run to tie the ball game at one apiece in the second inning. In the third, Ricky Hague doubled and Jeff Kobernus walked in front of Ramos who hit his opposite field home run into the Senators bullpen. Hague would later hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to add insurance to the Harrisburg lead.

Paolo Espino was outstanding for Harrisburg, allowing two runs with only one being earned. The righty also struck out eight Akron batters in his five innings of work. Derek Self was even better in three innings of scoreless relief in which he allowed just one hit. Robert Benincasa picked up his first save as a Senator with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
