Niles, OH - The Mahoning Valley Scrappers won the rubber match of a three-game series against the Aberdeen IronBirds today 4-1 at Eastwood Field.
Mitch Talbot made his rehab start with the Scrappers pitching three innings and giving up one run on two hits.
Casey Gaynor came in from the bullpen to earn his fourth win of the season pitching five scoreless innings and striking out seven.
J.D. Reichenbach pitched a scoreless top of the ninth inning for the Scrappers to get a save.
Justin Moore suffered the loss lasting 5.1 innings, giving up three runs on eight hits and walking three.
The Scrappers begin a six-game road trip tomorrow night as they play the first of three against the Staten Island Yankees at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. First pitch is at 7:00 p.m.
