Vermont Lake Monsters News Release

BURLINGTON, VT --- Monday night's New York-Penn League game between the Vermont Lake Monsters and Batavia Muckdogs was cancelled due to rain and wet conditons at historic Centennial Field. The game, which was suppose to be the finale of a three-game series between the two teams, will not be made up.

Vermont (27-22) is now one game in front of the Connecticut Tigers, who lost Monday afternoon at Brooklyn, for first-place in the Stedler Division. The Lake Monsters head out on a six-game roadtrip starting at Hudson Valley on Tuesday and will not be returning home to Centennial Field until August 18th. 18 of Vermont's final 26 games of the season will be on the road.

Fans who had tickets for Monday's game can exchange them for any of the eight remaining Lake Monsters home games. Tickets can be exchanged in person at the Lake Monsters office at the King Street Ferry Dock or starting one hour before any Vermont home game at the Centennial Field ticket office. For more information, contact the Lake Monsters at info@vermontlakemonsters.com or by phone at (802) 655-6611.
