
Scorpions Come From Behind For Victory In Odessa

[ODESSA, Tex. ]-The Scorpions came from two goals down late in the second period and walked away from Odessa with a 3-2 victory. Aaron MacInnis provided the power play game winner early in the third period. MacInnis continues to have a flair for dramatics scoring his team leading fifth game winning goal this season.
Odessa used a strong power play and rebound goals in the first period to grab the lead. Jeff Ewasko threw a shot at the Scorpions net that was originally saved by goalie Scott Reid. Mike Ramsay was on the doorstep and put it home giving Odessa the early lead.
Back to the power play the Jackalopes went and again the used a rebound goal to extend the lead. After a Jay Latulippe took the shot, Ewasko, the league's tallest player, got a rebound goal of his own to give the Jackalopes the 2-0 lead.
Odessa came out in the second period and played their defensive style well. It looked like the second period would end quietly but the Scorps woke up and tied the game quickly.
Craig Macdonald scored his eighth goal in eight games at the 18:30 mark. Just 12-seconds later, Mike Falk scored his team leading 20th goal of the season tying the game at two, at the end of two periods. The two goals set a Scorpions' record for the fastest pair of goals in team history.
The Scorpions return to home ice this Wednesday when the Laredo Bucks come to town. Get your tickets as the CHL's defending champions will make their only visit of the season to the Santa Ana Star Center. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m.
