Calgary, Alberta -- The Brandon Wheat Kings and the Western Hockey League will be well represented at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament next week in Slovakia.

Two members of the Wheat Kings - Brayden Schenn and Scott Glennie - were among the ten Western Leaguers to be chosen to the National Under 18 Team by Hockey Canada Tuesday night.

Schenn, the reigning WHL Rookie of the Year, led the Wheat Kings in scoring as a 16-year old last season with 28 goals and 71 points in 66 games.

One of two Manitobans to be chosen to the team, Glennie appeared in 61 games last season and had 58 points including 26 goals.

Glennie and Schenn were members of Team Western that captured the gold medal at the World Under 17 Championships in London, Ontario last December. As well, Schenn was a member of the Canadian team that captured the gold medal at this spring's World Under 18 Championship in Russia.

Joining Glennie as the only other Manitoban to be chosen was Cody Eakin of the Swift Current Broncos.

The Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament will be held in Piestany, Slovakia.
