Scheifele And Pearson Selected To Play In Subway Super Series

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that two of their players have been selected to compete for Team OHL in the Subway Super Series that takes place November 10th and 14th.

The Canadian Hockey League in association with the Ontario Hockey League made the announcement Tuesday morning that Tanner Pearson and Mark Scheifele will both play for Team OHL against Team Russia in the 2011 Subway Super Series.

Tanner Pearson, who sits second in league scoring with ten goals and 18 assists, will play in both games in Ottawa on November 10th and in Sault Ste. Marie on November 14th.

Mark Scheifele, who has yet to play a game for Barrie after being returned by the Winnipeg Jets on Monday, will compete in the game in Ottawa.

Scheifele is expected to play for the Colts in their next contest, which is this Wednesday, October 26th in Belleville. His first home game will be this Saturday, October 29th against Windsor.

Team OHL is a perfect 16-0 against Team Russia. All six games of the Subway Super Series will be broadcasted nationally on Sportsnet starting at 7 pm (ET).
