VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Friday that Saturday's MLS season opener against Toronto FC at BC Place is sold out. Kickoff for this Canadian rivalry match is set for 3 p.m. PT - TV: TSN1, RADIO: TSN 1410, tsn.ca/radio, MOBILE: bell.ca/mobiletv, ONLINE: TSN GO.
Fans are encouraged to act now to secure tickets to the following home matches at BC Place. Tickets are selling fast for the Saturday, March 28 match against Portland Timbers, as well as for the Saturday, April 4 match versus LA Galaxy.
Vancouver enter their fifth MLS season looking to build on a successful 2014 in which the team earned a second ever MLS Cup playoff berth, set a club record for points in an MLS season, and clinched a first ever berth in the CONCACAF Champions League.
Whitecaps FC concluded preseason by going undefeated in three matches at Portland's Simple Invitational Tournament, winning 1-0 against the host Portland Timbers, 3-2 over Norwegian side Stabæk, and drawing 1-1 versus Chicago Fire. Overall, the 'Caps went 4W-2L-2D in preseason, with newcomer Octavio Rivero leading the team with three goals in six appearances.
