Saturday's Colorado/Rapid City Game Postponed

December 26, 2009 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League, in conjunction with the Colorado Eagles and the Rapid City Rush, announced today that Saturday's game between the Eagles and the Rush (CHL game #205) has been postponed due to inclement weather and impassable road conditions. A makeup date will be announced in the very near future.

The game was scheduled to be played Saturday night (12/26/09) at the Budweiser Events Center with face-off scheduled for 7:05 PM (MST). Earlier on Friday, the CHL was forced to postpone the Tulsa/Wichita Christmas Day game due to inclement weather.

"Clearly a very hazardous weather front has made its way through many of our markets," said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner. "Similarly to today's earlier decision with the Tulsa/Wichita game, teams and fans cannot be put in a dangerous position which is what playing this game would have done for the Rush trying to make their way from South Dakota where nearly every road is closed."
