The K-Tribe looks to win their seventh straight home series tonight at 7pm vs. Lynchburg. Sunday is a special 5pm start as Potomac comes to Kinston to start a three game set.
Grainger Greatness- Home has been sweet to the K-Tribe in 2010. Kinston is 23-12 at Grainger Stadium, the third-best home record in the league. The K-Tribe is looking to win their seventh consecutive home series with a victory tonight. Their last series loss at home came to Lynchburg on April 27-29, which ended a 6-7 start at home. Since that series, Kinston has won 16 of their last 22 at Grainger Stadium.
Defensive Dominance - It hasn't always been pretty, but Kinston leads the Carolina League in defense with a .975 fielding percentage and has committed the fewest errors with 72. Third baseman Kyle Bellows (.982) and catcher Richard Martinez (.1000) each lead their respective positions in fielding percentage. Ronald Rivas leads the league with 23 errors, which is tied for seventh in all of baseball. Kinston catchers have thrown out just 30.6% of base stealers, which is the worst mark in the league.
