Winston-Salem Dash News Release

FREDERICK, MD (JUNE 26, 2010) - The Winston-Salem Dash today announced that catcher Jason Bour has been promoted to AA Birmingham. There is no corresponding roster move at this time.

Bour was extremely productive in his two-month stint with the Dash. In 32 games, he hit .299 with five home runs, 11 doubles, four triples, 18 RBI, and 24 runs scored.

Bour signed as a minor league free agent less than two weeks after the start of the season when Josh Phegley and Logan Johnson were placed on the disabled list on consecutive days. He got off to a great start, collecting two base hits in each of his first three starts. He had a career game on May 12 at Potomac, going 4 for 5 with a double, two home runs, and four RBI. His four triples with the Dash doubled his career total prior to this season.

Originally selected by Cincinnati in the 23rd round of the 2007 draft out of George Mason University, Bour was released by the Reds following the 2009 season. He split last year between Advanced-A Sarasota and AA Carolina.

Winston-Salem's roster now has 23 players, two below the Carolina League limit.

The Dash plays the rubber game of its series with the Frederick Keys tonight at 6 p.m. RHP Stephen Sauer is scheduled to pitch against LHP Cole McCurry.

The Dash returns to BB&T Ballpark on Sunday when it opens a six-game home stand with a series against the Salem Red Sox.

The Winston-Salem Dash is the Class-A Advanced minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. To purchase tickets and for more information, please call 336-714-2287 or visit www.wsdash.com .
