
Saturday Night Is Awards Night At Westman Place

Brandon, MB. -- An exciting night is in store for western Manitoba hockey fans Saturday night as the Brandon Wheat Kings and Westman Communications Group Place will host the Western Hockey League club's Annual Awards Night when they play host to the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors.
Saturday's game will not only bring the curtain down on the Wheat Kings' 2012-13 season, it will be the second of a weekend home and home weekend series between the two teams. In Friday's series opener, the Warriors scored four powerplay goals en route to a 5-2 victory in Moose Jaw. The Wheat Kings enter their regular season finale with a record of 23-40-4-4.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Wheat Kings annual awards will be handed out on this night - before, during and immediately following the game.
In addition, there will be a special presentation made to Brandon's graduating 20-year olds - defenceman Tyler Yaworski and forward Nick Buonassisi. Saturday's game will mark the end of their major junior careers. Entering their final games, Yaworski has 8 goals, 47 points and 595 penalty minutes in 226 games. Buonassisi meanwhile has scored 171 points, including 64 goals in 338 career games.
