
Santa Cruz Warriors Fall to Texas Legends, 112-97

SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors (7-11) fell to the Texas Legends (8-8) Thursday night at Kaiser Permanente Arena, 112-97.
Center LJ Figueroa finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Sea Dubs. Guard Kendall Smith finished the night with 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and forward Jerome Robinson had 18 points and four rebounds.
Legends guard Feron Hunt had 21 points and had six rebounds, and Guard Olin Carter III added 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Forward Justin Jackson finished the night with 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the win.
The game went back and forth throughout the first quarter, but the Legends took a slim lead to close out the quarter, 31-25. The Legends offense exploded in the second quarter to score 36 points and take a 24-point lead over the Warriors, 67-43, heading into halftime. Santa Cruz fought back to close the lead in the third quarter and bring the score to within seven points, heading into the final frame down 79-72. The Texas offense fought back to once again extend the lead and secure the win over Santa Cruz, 112-97.
