Windy City Comes up Short against Delaware

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, couldn't keep up with the Delaware Blue Coats, falling 115-96 on the road Thursday night. Devon Dotson led the Bulls with 21 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and five steals.

The Bulls and Blue Coats were back-and-forth in the first half. Windy City held a narrow 24-21 advantage after the first quarter before entering halftime trailing the Blue Coats by four points.

Windy City and Delaware traded leads to start the third quarter, and the two squads were tied at 57 with 6:39 left in the period. But the Blue Coats ended the quarter on a 23-5 run to take an 18-point lead into the final 12 minutes, before eventually winning by 19.

All five Windy City starters reached double figures. Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Tyler Cook notched a double-double with 16 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field and 10 rebounds. Scottie Lindsey scored 16 points, while Kerwin Roach II put up 14. Ethan Thompson rounded out the starters with 12 points and six rebounds.

The Blue Coats were led by Braxton Key's 28 points, eight rebounds and five steals.

With the loss, Windy City fell to 7-11, while Delaware improved to 10-5.

Next, Windy City is hosting its Education Day game at NOW Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 23 against the Grand Rapids Gold. Tip-off between the Bulls and Gold is set for 11 a.m. on NBC Sports Chicago.
