
Legends Finish Strong to Fight off Warriors

SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Texas Legends (8-8) finished strong in the fourth after allowing a second-half Santa Cruz comeback, defeating the Warriors (7-11) 112-97.
The two teams went back and forth in the first, staying close and exchanging leads six times. Texas took control midway through and ended the quarter up by six. The Legends took control in the second, using a 10-point boost from Feron Hunt to double the Warriors' output and take a 24-point edge into the break.
The home team locked down the visitors in the third, holding them to 12 points and finishing on a 14-0 run to the buzzer to cut the gap to 7 heading into the final minutes. Texas came back to life in the fourth and held on to sweep the season series 3-0.
Justin Jackson led the Legends' efforts with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Hunt finished with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Olin Carter knocked down 5-of-10 outside to add 17 points, 5 rebounds, and Carlik Jones tagged on 10 points, 6 assists.
Jerome Robinson led the Warriors with 18 points, 4 rebounds. LJ Figueroa neared the game's only double-double with 16 points, 9 rebounds. Jacob Evans had all 14 of his points in the third and grabbed 4 rebounds.
