
Santa Cruz Warriors Drop to South Bay Lakers, 111-91

SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors (2-4) fell to the South Bay Lakers (3-3) on Saturday night at Kaiser Permanente Arena, 111-91.
The Warriors got off to a hot start, leading by as many as 22 points in the first half, thanks to nine points each from guards Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins, both on assignment from Golden State. The Lakers closed the lead to within six points, but the Warriors offense hung on, leading 48-42 heading into the second half.
The South Bay offense came alive in the third quarter and was able to lead by as many as 12 points thanks to guard Bryce Hamilton. The Lakers extended their lead late in the fourth quarter to 20 points, and the Warriors were unable to overcome the deficit, falling to South Bay, 111-91.
On assignment from Golden State, center James Wiseman earned a double-double for the Sea Dubs tonight, notching 19 points and 11 rebounds. Rollins finished the night with 17 points and four rebounds, and forward Jerome Robinson added 15 points, five rebounds and four assists for Santa Cruz.
Hamilton led the Lakers with 29 points and added five rebounds. Guard Scotty Pippen Jr. followed with 22 points and seven assists off the bench. Former Sea Dub turned South Bay forward LJ Figueroa closed out the night with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Santa Cruz will now travel to Salt Lake City for a back-to-back against the Stars on November 21 and 22. They return to Santa Cruz on Friday, November 25 for a set of back-to-back home games at Kaiser Permanente Arena. On Friday, November 25 they will face the G League Ignite at 7 p.m. (PT). The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Golden State Warriors 2022 Championship Replica Ring, presented by Rakuten. On Saturday, November 26 the Santa Cruz Warriors will take on the Stockton Kings at 7 p.m. (PT), with all fans in attendance receiving a Marvel Comic Book.
