
Greensboro Swarm Drop Close One to Nets

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, fell in a tight matchup against the Long Island Nets (Brooklyn Nets affiliate), 93-91, on Saturday at the Novant Health Fieldhouse. Greensboro (2-5) was led by Kobi Simmons' season-high of 30 points while Long Island (2-4) was paced by RaiQuan Gray's team-high 21 points.
Simmons' fourth-consecutive game with 25 or more points came on 12-for-25 shooting. He also had five rebounds and three assists.
Five Nets players scored in double figures, led by Gray, who also recorded a double-double with 12 boards. Jordan Bowden had 17 points and six rebounds, Kameron Hankerson scored 16 points, Donovan Williams tallied 15 points and Chris Chiozza had 10 points and nine assists.
The Swarm's Isaiah Whaley picked up his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes. Greensboro's starting lineup led the way offensively, with each player recording double-digit performances.
Greensboro will hit the road for the first time this season and visit the Capital City Go-Go on Monday November 21, 2022 at 7 p.m. ET for its next contest.
