San Jose Earthquakes Play Host to Chivas USA on Sunday, May 13

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes welcome conference foe Chivas USA for a Mother's Day tilt this Sunday, May 13. Kickoff at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara is slated for 4 p.m. PT. The match will air live locally on Comcast SportsNet California, 1590 KLIV (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish). It also marks the Quakes' 2012 national television debut on Spanish-language Galavision.

The Earthquakes (7-2-1, 22 pts.) are off to their best 10-game start in club history and share the second spot in the MLS Western Conference standings with Seattle Sounders FC (7-1-1, 22 pts.). They trail only Real Salt Lake (7-3-2, 23 pts.) by a single point, with two games in hand. Chivas USA (3-6-0, 9 pts.) is in eighth-place in the nine-team West, having lost three straight following back-to-back road victories. The Goats have managed a league-low five goals in their nine matches this season.

The Quakes had their then-MLS-best seven-game unbeaten run (6-0-1) snapped following a last-gasp, 2-1 defeat at Vancouver Whitecaps FC on May 5. They lead MLS in both goals scored (21) and assists (24).

Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski leads the Budweiser Golden Boot race with 11 goals and boasts the longest active streak in MLS of games with either a goal or an assist at a career-best eight.
