Houston Dynamo Prepare for Long-Awaited Home Opener

After a seven-game road trip to begin the season, the Dynamo return to Houston for the long-awaited opening of their new downtown stadium. Saturday's match is the second of three meetings between Houston and D.C. in 2012 after United won 3-2 at RFK Stadium on April 28.

Houston is 2-3-2 (8 points) after a 1-0 defeat at the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday. D.C. United is 5-3-3 (18 points) after a 2-0 road win at Toronto FC on Saturday.

The Dynamo is 7-4-2 all-time against D.C. United and were unbeaten in five consecutive meetings (4-0-1) before United's victory on April 28.

The Dynamo have never lost to D.C. United at home, as they are 5-0-1 in six meetings in Houston.

If Bobby Bowell plays against D.C. United on Saturday, it will be his 200th Major League Soccer appearance in his eight-year career.

If Brad Davis starts against D.C. United on Saturday, it will be his 150th MLS regular season start with the Dynamo. Davis is the franchise leader in regular season starts.

If Brian Ching plays Saturday vs. United it will be his 175th appearance for the Dynamo in all competitions.

Saturday is Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall's 27th birthday.
