San Jose Barracuda Assign Brodzinski to Allen

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Barracuda ( @SJBarracuda ) presented by Barracuda Networks ( @barracuda ) and the American Hockey League ( @TheAHL ) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks ( @SanJoseSharks ) today announced the club has assigned defenseman Michael Brodzinski to its ECHL affiliate the Allen Americans ( @AllenAmericans).
Brodzinski appeared in six games for the Barracuda in 2015-16, recording zero points after forgoing his final year of college hockey at the University of Minnesota (BIG10). The 21-year-old (5-11/181) was selected by the Sharks in the fifth round (#171 overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Brodzinski did not appear in the Barracuda's season opener in Stockton this past Saturday .
The blue liner played in 99 games for the Golden Gophers, collecting 48 points (18-30-48), 62 penalty minutes and a +26 rating.
The Barracuda continue its 2016-17 season on the road this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 22 as they take on the Ontario Reign (Los Angeles Kings) at 6:00 PM . All the action can be heard on the flagship station of the Barracuda AM 1220 KDOW.
