
San Diego Wave FC Sign Defender Cheyenne Shorts as Injury Replacement Player

San Diego Wave FC announced today that the club has signed defender Cheyenne Shorts as an injury replacement.
Shorts was drafted in the 2020 NWSL Draft at No. 21 overall by the Orlando Pride out of the University of Denver. She spent a brief period of time with French side Saint Etienne before signing with Celtic in the Scottish Women's Premier League in 2021. Last season, Shorts signed as a National Team Replacement player with the Portland Thorns where she made one appearance.
