San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO- The San Antonio Rampage will host their 12th annual Teddy Bear Toss Game on Saturday, Dec. 3 when they host the San Jose Barracuda at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. The donated bears will go to children at Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc., and one lucky bear donor will win a $250 Visa gift card during the game.
Guests of the game are invited to bring new or gently used teddy bears to donate to children in need this holiday season. Once the Rampage score their first goal of the evening, fans throw the bears onto the ice where members of the Jr. Rampage collect them to be donated to Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc. One lucky bear will then be chosen from the ice to earn its donor at $250 Visa gift card. Tags identifying each bear for the giveaway will be available upon arrival at the AT&T Center.
Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc. (FVPS) has been helping victims of domestic violence in San Antonio since 1977. Recently, the Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc. donation center was burglarized, leaving the organization without toys for the children in its programs - many of whom came to FVPS with nothing.
FVPS began as an emergency shelter for women and children and now offers a complete array of shelter, transitional housing, counseling, children's services, and legal services to help individuals and families recover from the pain and long-term effects of domestic violence.
The Rampage will continue the back-to-back series with the Barracuda on Sunday, Dec. 4. All Rampage games can be heard on Ticket 760 and SARampage.com. Individual and season tickets are available and can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at SARampage.com. The 2016-17 season is presented by Wells Fargo.
