
Saltdogs add two players

LINCOLN, Neb. * The Lincoln Saltdogs have added two new players to their roster; Dustin Nilius, a pitcher from Wayne State (Neb.) College, and Richard Cormier, an infielder who just finished his senior season at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida.
Nilius, a 6-4, 200 pound pitcher from Omaha, Neb., appeared in 24 games for the Wildcats and set a school record with nine saves. He also carried a 3.69 ERA and had a record of 6-2 on the season. In 2002, his freshman year, Nilius lead Wayne in ERA at 4.79.
Richard Cormier, a native of Sebring, Fla., played in 42 games for the Eagles in 2004 carrying a .395 batting average. He also stole 10 bases on 14 attempts in that season. The 2005 co-captain of the Eagles can play any position on the infield including catcher and he had a strong bat from either side of the plate.
The Lincoln Saltdogs will take on the Gary SouthShore RailCats for a four game series starting June 27 at 7:05 p.m. The Dogs will return to Haymarket Park on July 1 when the Joliet JackHammers come to Lincoln.
