El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The El Paso Chihuahuas and Salt Lake Bees combined to hit six home runs in Friday's 7-5 Salt Lake win at Southwest University Park. The Bees and Chihuahuas entered play with the top two team home run totals in the Pacific Coast League.

Travis Jankowski went 2-for-3 with a walk in the loss and has now reached base in 15 of his last 19 plate appearances. The Chihuahuas' 3-4-5 hitters all hit solo home runs (Brett Nicholas, Franmil Reyes and Raffy Lopez.) The homer by Reyes extended his hitting streak to 11 games. Diego Goris went 0-for-4, ending his eight-game hitting streak.

All three of the games in the series so far have been decided by one or two runs. The Bees bullpen retired the last 11 Chihuahuas batters Friday. El Paso has lost back-to-back games for the first time since April 12-13.
