SALT LAKE CITY (July 16, 2014) - The Salt Lake Bees continue to partner with the Sons of Baseball Foundation this season to provide positive and lasting baseball experiences to local youth with disabilities and life-threatening medical conditions. During each Saturday home game for the remainder of the 2014 season, the team is treating Sons of Baseball children and families to a VIP evening with the Bees.

This Saturday, July 19, 15-year-old Brandon Lesieur and his family will experience an unforgettable night at Smith's Ballpark complete with player meet and greets, autographs and photos, batting practice participation, and much more. The Salt Lake City native plays baseball in city leagues and his favorite player is Bees infielder Luis Jimenez. Kathy Killebrew Taggart and Cam Killebrew, the son and daughter of baseball legend Harmon Killebrew, will be in attendance as representatives of the Sons of Baseball Foundation.

The non-profit, Utah-based organization was established in 2012 by a small group of people who share a passion for bringing the joy of baseball to the lives of children with challenges. The Bees have supported the Sons of Baseball Foundation for the past two years, donating tickets and suite nights to the organization as part of the team's ongoing commitment to youth development and community outreach. Brandon Lesieur will be the third youth hosted by the Bees this season in collaboration with the Sons of Baseball Foundation.

"We are proud to provide ongoing support to the Sons of Baseball Foundation and share this great game with children who have disabilities and health challenges," said Marc Amicone, Salt Lake Bees general manager. "The Bees organization places tremendous value on giving back to the Salt Lake community and this is one way that we are able to make a difference in the lives of local youth and families."

"We have enjoyed our growing relationship with the Salt Lake Bees," said Eric Wallace, Sons of Baseball Foundation president. "The entire organization, from the front office to the players on the field, has been tremendously supportive and we wouldn't be able to make baseball dreams come true without their help. It has been remarkable to see the lives that have been touched on both the giving and receiving end of an MVP Experience."

The Bees will host the Las Vegas 51s and the Reno Aces during its eight-game homestand July 17-24. Tickets are available at the Smith's Ballpark box office from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., as well as at all Smith'sTix outlets and Smith's Food & Drug Stores. Tickets may also be purchased online with no additional fees at www.slbees.com or by phone at 801-325-BEES (2337).
