Salmon Kings prepare for preseason series with 26 players

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Salmon Kings, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks and the AHL's Manitoba Moose, announced today that they have made the second roster trim for the 2006-07 season.

Victoria has released five players from training camp: Justin Coutu (D), Nolan Graham (F), Mike Lefley (F), Seth Leonard (F) and Chris Martini (F).

Also removed from the training camp roster for the Salmon Kings was Calgary native Neil McCann. The 27-year-old Defenseman has been suspended by the club. McCann elected to leave camp to attend to personal issues back home in Calgary.

With a roster of 26, the Salmon Kings head to McCall, Idaho for a pre-season series on Friday and Saturday against the Steelheads. Both games begin at 7:30 p.m. (MT).

Victoria was 5-3-0 versus Idaho last season, with four of those victories being on the road. Tickets are available by calling (208) 634-3570. Prices are $13.00 (U.S.) per seat for adults, $10.00 (U.S.) per seat for children 12 years and under, and children 3 years and under may enter for free.
